Any operation or activity within Pakistan is a sovereign decision made by Pakistan, according to MOFA Spokesperson Mumtaz Zahra Baloch.
Pakistan made the choice to launch an operation against terrorists within its borders.
According to the spokeswoman, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif was in Astana on a formal visitation in order to take part in today’s SCO summit.
The Prime Minister will also have meetings with the SCO’s members. The official stated that Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif had meetings with a number of leaders in Astana yesterday.
Afghanistan-Pakistan relations
Mumtaz Baloch, speaking about the AfPak relations, stated that shared concerns were brought up in the Doha talks and that Pakistan and Afghanistan are in communication with one another on these issues.
