With the release of their most recent album, Happenings, Kasabian is poised to take the top spot in the UK album charts for a record seventh time.
The rock group from Leicester has jumped out to an early lead in the competition to top this week’s UK Official Albums Chart.
Over the course of their career, the English rock group—which consists of Tim Carter, Ian Matthews, Chris Edwards, and Sergio Pizzorno—has earned six UK no. 1 albums, with all bar their debut studio album reaching the top position.
Despite several lineup changes—including the resignation of lead vocalist Tom Meighan in 2020—the band has seen significant success. Pizzorno, the lead guitarist and lyricist, took his place.
With the addition of numerous more noteworthy entries, the chart action is heating up in the interim.
Aiming for a top 5 spot, rising pop phenomenon Chappell Roan is also expected to make waves with her debut album, The Rise and Fall of a Midwest Princess.
Regarding country music, The Great American Bar Scene, Zach Bryan’s fifth album, is aiming for a No. 15 debut.
Accompanied by Bryan’s current Top 40 hit, Pink Skies, the record boasts star-studded collaborations with Bruce Springsteen and John Mayer. Bryan might make his UK chart debut with this.
