Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Syed Asim Munir has stated that Pakistan and China “are exceptional and have always weathered the vicissitudes of the strategic environment with mutual trust and unwavering belief in each other’s support” in an effort to revive bilateral ties between the two countries.
According to a statement released by the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) on Thursday, the army commander made the comments in honor of the People’s Liberation Army (PLA) of China’s 97th anniversary of founding, which was held at the General Headquarters in Rawalpindi.
The primary visitor on the event, according to the military’s media wing, was Jiang Zaidong, the Chinese ambassador to Pakistan. Attendees included representatives from Pakistan’s tri-services, Chinese Embassy staff, and Defense Attaché Major General Wang Zhong.
