The Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) system in Peshawar has announced a fare increase by the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Mobility Authority. The raise ranges from Rs5 to Rs10.
This adjustment, which takes effect right away, is a response to the BRT system’s mounting financial shortfall.
The recently released pricing schedule states that while fares on some routes would increase by Rs10, customers on other routes will only witness a rise of Rs5. In particular, the journey from Chamkani to Hayatabad will now cost Rs60 instead of Rs50.
When they are traveling with their parents, children under five continue to travel for free. Furthermore, seniors 60 years of age and older will receive a 50% fare discount with a special card.
