Thanks to a strong overall effort, Pakistan’s team won its second game in the competition. India defeated Pakistan in their opening tournament match. With four points from two wins, the Green Shirts are one step closer to the semi-final.
Muneeba made 37 runs on 30 balls with four boundaries, while Feroza smashed 62 off 55 deliveries with eight fours. Pakistan were the first side in tournament history to win a game by 10 wickets, having chased the target with precision and without losing a single wicket.
The last Group A game between Nepal and India is scheduled for today. A victory by the Blues would guarantee a trip to the semi-finals for the Green Shirts.
Pakistan had earlier won the toss and invited the women of the UAE to bat first. They were unable to get off to a strong start, though, as they were losing wickets frequently.Gull Feroza and Muneeba Ali, the opening pair for Pakistan in today’s game, are chasing a score of 104 runs.
