In addition to storms and rain predicted in parts of southern Sindh, the National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) has alerted the departments in question about possible floods in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Azad Kashmir.
The alert is issued as it is anticipated that monsoon rains from the Bay of Bengal and Arabian Sea would affect different regions of the nation.
The National Emergency Operation Center of the NDMA reports that monsoon rains have started to arrive in Pakistan’s upper regions. Within the next 24 hours, many locations should begin to feel the effects of these showers, which should last until July 27.
The alert from the NDMA is valid for several regions in Pakistan:
Coastal regions in Southern Sindh: Tharparkar, Badin, Thatta, Sajawal, Islamkot, Karachi, Hyderabad, Umerkot, Mirpurkhas, Nawabshah, Sukkur, Larkana Division.
South Punjab: Areas like Rohi and Rahim Yar Khan are expected to see a lot of rain.
Potohar area is included in Punjab’s upper and central regions.
