Rana Sanaullah, the Prime Minister’s Advisor on Political and Public Affairs, has emphasized that the coalition government led by the PML-N must “remain alert” as the leaders of the opposing PTI anticipate early elections and the overthrow of the current administration later this year.
The PM’s assistant countered that while the government is cautious about the circumstances and potential outcomes, it is not as fearful of losing power as the PTI has been alleging.
In answer to a query regarding recent remarks made by PTI officials that alluded to the former ruling party’s comeback to power, the statement was made during the Geo News program “Aaj Shahzeb Khanzada Kay Sath.”
The warning from PTI founder Imran Khan, who is currently incarcerated, was communicated earlier in the day by Omar Ayub Khan, the Leader of the Opposition in the National Assembly, to “prepare for new elections” in the country.
Asad Qaiser, the leader of the PTI, has also voiced optimism about the party’s prospects for quickly improving and its ability to establish government in December.
“Such assertions are of little significance. However, it is evident that certain actions are being taken,” stated the head of the ruling Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N).
“They [PTI] may state the things differently in the press conference, but we are aware of what is happening,” he declared.
