Kamala Harris, a Democratic presidential candidate and vice president, promised not to keep quiet about the terrible suffering in Gaza.

After a crucial meeting with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu in Washington, Harris spoke to media at her first campaign rally in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, expressing her “serious concern” about the devastation caused by the nine-month conflict.

“It matters how Israel defends itself; it has a right to do so. Harris emphasized the human cost of the fighting and added, “What has happened in Gaza over the past nine months is devastating.” “The pictures of starving and helpless youngsters running for their lives, often for the second, third, or fourth time, in search of safety.I will not remain silent, and we cannot allow ourselves to grow indifferent to the pain.”

In her remarks, Harris made it clear where she stands on the conflict and emphasized her commitment to striking a balance between her support for Israel and the pressing need to solve humanitarian issues in Gaza. She emphasized the need to put an end to the conflict while restating President Biden’s position on America’s “unwavering commitment” and “ironclad support” for Israel.

“It is time for this war to end and end in a way where Israel is secure, all the hostages are released, the suffering of Palestinians in Gaza ends, and the Palestinian people can exercise their right to freedom, dignity, and self-determination,” Harris said.
