According to reports in Lahore, major changes to Pakistan’s team are anticipated ahead of the forthcoming Test series against Bangladesh.

Next week, as the team gets ready for the series, there will be squad consultations.

It is expected that the Test squad would undergo several changes. The inclusion of Muhammad Huraira is expected to strengthen the lineup for the team. Important players like Faheem Ashraf, Wasim Jr., Saim Ayub, and Nauman Ali, whose contributions are vital to the team’s success, struggle to get a spot on the squad.

Additionally, according to sources, Imamul Haq or Sahibzada Farhan are anticipated to be added to the team, subject to additional assessment.Furthermore, a fitness assessment will be conducted before Amir Jamal and Hasan Ali’s fates are determined.

The final selection for the Test squad will take place following Red Ball head coach Jason Gillespie’s return to Pakistan. His opinions and ideas will be very important in determining the final squad that will play Bangladesh in the forthcoming Test series.

Pakistan is scheduled to visit New Zealand in March and April of 2025, as part of the official cricket schedule that was unveiled earlier this month.
