The 29-year-old, who debuted in Wrexham in 2021, starred in the most recent Marvel film Deadpool & Wolverine as Welshpool, a Welsh adaptation of Deadpool.
In the past three years, Mullin has made 122 appearances for the Red Dragons and scored 88 goals.
Reynolds stated the following in a post on X: “One Deadpool Corps member was significantly more lethal than the others. WELSHPOOL.
However, teammate Ollie Palmer also made an appearance as a pub patron, thus Mullin wasn’t the only Wrexham AFC player to make an appearance.
In its opening weekend in North America, the newest Marvel film brought in $205 million (£159.5 million) at the box office, earning a place in the movie.
Wrexham, a team in North Wales that Reynolds and Rob McElhenney purchased in 2020, got promoted for the second consecutive season earlier this year.
