GUJRANWALA: Imtiaz Choudhary, a member of the National Assembly (MNA) for Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), was purportedly “freed” from the Anti Corruption Establishment’s (ACE) custody by armed men.
The ACE team was transporting Choudhary to Mandi Bahauddin for questioning when the incident happened. The authority team was stopped by eight or ten armed people traveling in three vehicles, and they opened fire on their vehicle.
Tuesday night, at around 1:20 am, the gunmen allegedly intercepted something at New Shadiwal Road in Gujrat, and they fled with the PTI MNA.
The anti-graft authority has accused Choudhary, who was arrested by ACE on July 25 from his home, of accepting bribes from development projects carried out while the PTI government was led by Imran Khan.GUJRANWALA: Imtiaz Choudhary, a member of the National Assembly (MNA) for Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), was purportedly “freed” from the Anti Corruption Establishment’s (ACE) custody by armed men.
