With effect from Saturday, August 3, Pakistan Railways has announced a considerable cut in rates for all classes of passenger trains. Travelers all throughout the nation are expected to benefit from this reduction.
With the revised cost structure, tickets for the AC class have decreased from Rs100 to Rs150, offering significant discounts for those traveling in the higher class. A greater number of people can now afford to travel by rail thanks to a Rs50 reduction in economy class rates.
The purpose of this fare reduction is to encourage more people to use railway services and lessen the financial burden on frequent commuters. It is applicable to all passenger trains running countrywide.
Pakistan Railways released a statement saying, “The decision to lower rates is part of our ongoing efforts to make train travel more affordable.
We anticipate that this program will increase the number of people using our rail services generally in addition to benefiting our passengers.”
On Saturday, August 3, the revised fares will go into force, and travelers are urged to take advantage of the lower prices for their upcoming trips.
