Under the motto “Na Dar, Na Rukawat” (meaning “No Fear, No Obstacle”), the Pink Bus Service was launched by Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui, the Minister of Education.
The Ministry claims that these pink buses will run on all main routes, linking rural and urban areas and facilitating commuters’ easier and safer travel.
According to the Ministry of Education, the pink buses will be a welcome addition to Islamabad’s transit network, offering female teachers and students free and secure transportation.
The federal government and the Ministry of Education would pay for the project in full, according to PM Shehbaz Sharif’s announcement.
