China demands that Israel cease its “collective punishment” of Gaza.

Beijing’s Foreign Ministry urged Israel to end its “collective punishment” of Gazan civilians and demanded an urgent and comprehensive ceasefire. Additionally, it called on the “parties to the conflict” in Gaza to carry out the pertinent decisions from the UN Security Council. China demanded in November that the Security Council develop a “concrete” schedule and plan for a two-state solution in order to reach a “comprehensive, just, and lasting” resolution of the Palestinian issue.
