Arshad Nadeem, the national hero and Olympic winner, was greeted with affection in Karachi by Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah, provincial officials, and Sindh Governor Kamran Tessori. Nadeem expressed his sincere gratitude to the people of Karachi and the government of Sindh for their love and support.
Arshad Nadeem described his experience winning the gold medal in the javelin event during a news conference with Governor Tessori. He gave credit for his perseverance in making the successful second throw that gave him the victory, even though he acknowledged the difficulty presented by the pressure of the first throw.
