FAISALABAD: Two people were detained by police on Saturday on suspicion of gang raping a lady in the town of Painsra in Faisalabad.
According to the police, the victim, a Lahori, traveled to Faisalabad to meet Muhammad Waseem, a buddy.
Two of the suspects have been apprehended, according to a Thekriwala police station official, who also stated that a first information report (FIR) had been filed and that further suspects were being sought after.
The victim stated in the FIR that on August 14, she went to Painsra in the evening to see her friend Waseem. She did, however, add that following their fight, Waseem went for his house, leaving the victim alone herself.”I visited Waseem’s home and requested that he drop me off at the bus stop. But we were unable to locate a bus, so we returned to Painsra Chowk, where we got into another fight,” she remarked.
According to the victim’s FIR, Waseem then called his friend Abdul Raheem and asked if he could stay with him for two hours till the bus arrived.
