In the men’s 400-meter race at the Paris Olympics, Hall, 26, edged off Hudson-Smith by four hundredths of a second to win gold.

The gold medal favorite, Hudson-Smith, set a new European record with a time of 43.44 seconds, but Hall won with a time of 43.40, a personal best.

Letsile Tebogo of Botswana will be competing in the men’s 200m and hoping to bring his incredible form from Paris to Switzerland. He will be facing American competitors Erriyon Knighton and Fred Kerley once more.

Tebogo, 21, shocked everyone by winning the 200-meter final in Paris. He set an African record with a time of 19.46 seconds, becoming the first Olympic athlete from Botswana.

Daryll Neita and Dina Asher-Smith, two British athletes, will compete in the women’s 100 meters, while Georgia Bell, who placed third in the 1500 meters in Paris, will run the 800 meters.

On Sunday, Neita and Asher-Smith will also participate in the Silesia Diamond League 100-meter competition.
