The Supreme Court ordered the Islamabad Wildlife Management Board to take control of the restaurants on September 11 with the assistance of the Capital Development Authority (CDA) and the police after issuing its comprehensive ruling in the Margalla Hills issue.
The 25-page ruling written by Pakistan’s Chief Justice Qazi Faez Isa stated: “On September 11, 2024, the Wildlife Board will take over the possession of the said restaurants with the full assistance of CDA and the Islamabad Capital Territory Police, and the entrances to said area shall be barricaded.”
The ruling follows the Supreme Court’s June 11 order to close Monal Restaurant and other restaurants inside the Margalla Hills National Park (MHPN).
