According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Syed Asim Munir warned a group of Harvard Business School (HBS) Trek-2024 students on Thursday about the dangers of false information and fake news in the digital era and urged them to proceed cautiously.
The army chief met with a delegation of students from nine different countries at General Headquarters in Rawalpindi, according to the military’s media wing.
Notably, the COAS made his remarks one day after he spoke on Wednesday at the Pakistan National Youth Convention 2024. He asserted during the convention that it was the state’s duty to shield its citizens from the negative consequences of social media risks.
