Prior to the attempted murder, the Trump man spent months investigating possible targets, including Joe Biden.

The FBI has stated that the gunman who attempted to kill Donald Trump studied him and other targets, such as Joe Biden, for months before deciding to shoot the Republican presidential candidate.

Thomas Crooks, 20, was reportedly involved in a “sustained detailed effort to plan an attack,” according to the agency, before he finally became “hyper focused” on Mr. Trump’s Pennsylvania speech.
However, special agent Kevin Rojek, who oversees the FBI’s Pittsburgh field office, has also acknowledged that investigators are still unable to identify his motivation.

Crooks’s computer use indicated that he was open to a variety of beliefs, but it did not demonstrate a clear left- or right-leaning reason.

Crooks, who was perched on the roof of an adjacent building, fired eight rounds at Mr. Trump, striking him in the ear before a Secret Service countersniper shot and killed him.

He was only on the roof for just six minutes, according to video footage, when he began fire at the gathering on July 13th, killing one person and injuring two more.

As early as 2019, Crooks, who left many explosive devices in his car, looked for information regarding bomb parts.
