A 6-foot hole was dug in Cornwall, prompting a beach warning.

After a six-foot trench was discovered next to a cafe, beachgoers have been cautioned against creating enormous holes in the sand.

The Polzeath Beach Ranger Service stated that a group of kids excavated the enormous sand pit in Cornwall while their parents stood by and observed.
The families departed the site without filling the 1.8-meter (6-foot) hole, according to a video the service posted on Facebook. It also mentioned that the hole was less than ten meters from a licensed business and concealed by a merchandise trailer, making it more difficult to see at night.

The service said they were surprised by the size of the hole after a member of the public reported it and filled it in. Fortunately, the sand didn’t dry out, and the walls remained sturdy enough for a considerable amount of time to prevent a collapse that would have crushed and/or suffocated the small people.

In addition to sharing the video, Wadebridge Community Fire Station stated that, although playing in the sand may seem like innocent fun, it can actually be rather dangerous if not done properly.

Because sand is naturally unstable, it can collapse unexpectedly and without notice if you’re piling it up next to something or constructing a tunnel through it.
