Remittances from Pakistanis living abroad via Roshan Digital Accounts (RDA) have exceeded $8.416 billion in volume, according to data recently made public by the State Bank of Pakistan.
According to the most recent data, overseas Pakistanis transferred $161 million over the RDA platform in July 2024 alone. As a result, the total amount of remittances sent between September 2020 and July 2024 is an astounding $8.416 billion.
By contrast, June 2024’s total remittances of $224 million were significantly greater. 10,820 new Roshan Digital Accounts were registered in July, according to the statistics, which also shows a notable increase in account openings. There are currently 723,598 active accounts in total.
Significant expansion has also been observed in the investment patterns through RDA. $357 million has been invested in New Pakistan Certificates by Pakistanis living abroad.
