Tuesday’s quarterfinal match between the world no. 2 and China’s seventh seed Zheng Qinwen is a rematch of Sabalenka’s victory at the Australian Open this year.
Sabalenka lost to Coco Gauff in the New York final last year, but after Gauff’s fourth-round departure this year, Sabalenka is now the favorite on a side of the draw that is getting more and more open.
