RAWALPINDI: Bangladesh created history on Tuesday by winning the second Test match against Pakistan by six wickets to sweep the two-match series.
After weather forced the play to finish early on Monday, the visitors resumed their innings on the fifth and final day of play. They successfully chased down Pakistan’s second innings target of 185 runs to win their first-ever Test series against the Green Shirts.
After a solid start by openers Shadman Islam (24) and Zakir Hasan (40), the visitors never let the Shan Masood-led team back into the game. Skilled players Mushfiqur Rahim (22) and Shakib Al Hasan (21) successfully completed the run chase in 56 overs.
