RAWALPINDI: An accountability court tasked with overseeing a £190 million settlement case has made the decision to render a final ruling on the PTI founder Imran Khan’s wife Bushra Bibi’s acquittal plea.
Judge Nasir Javed Rana of the accountability court reserved his decision on the former first lady’s petition for acquittal one day ago, and the court was scheduled to make the announcement today.
In a case that also involves a real estate mogul, the two are accused of causing the national exchequer to lose billions of rupees.
However, the judge decided to postpone the case when the court reopened the hearing in the reference, popularly known as the £190 National Crime Agency (NCA) controversy, against the former first lady and prime minister at a makeshift court in Rawalpindi’s Adiala Jail.
