“Come see me in Louisiana. 9 February 2025. Even if you’re watching from home, put on your best outfit as well.”
The rapper, who has won 17 Grammy awards, continued in a statement: “Rap music continues to be the most influential genre to date. And I will be present to remind everyone of this. They selected the appropriate one.”
Rapper Jay-Z referred to Lamar as a “once-in-a-generation artist”. Jay-Z’s firm, Roc Nation, selects the halftime show performer in collaboration with the NFL.
Lamar previously appeared at the 2022 SoFi Stadium halftime show in Inglewood, California, alongside Dr. Dre, Snoop Dogg, Mary J. Blige, 50 Cent, Anderson Paak, and Eminem.
