Sania Mirza, an Indian tennis player, updated her Instagram page on Sunday by posting a series of images along with a surprising message.
The prominent figure in athletics is well-known not only for her remarkable career but also for her frequent postings on social media, particularly the Meta-owned photo and video-sharing site, which she uses to engage her admirers and followers.
Some of her fans were confused about the meaning of the message and the athlete’s activities after seeing her most recent photos.
“Beating the heat” was the caption for the 37-year-old celebrity’s three-photo post.
Fans were taken aback because it’s winter, even if the message made sense with the first image, which showed Sania drinking coconut water via a straw poked through the fruit.
The remaining images included close-ups of Sania, one of her swinging her signature ponytail and the other holding a tennis racket.
Reacting to the photographs, an Instagram user noted it is winter in India, while another added “Bhai winter mai be summer, ye tu newest news hai [Brother summer in winters? This news is breaking.”
Zooming out in the first image, however, would show several crew members and equipment in Sania’s backdrop. Sania has been focused so much that the surrounding is blurry, but the image suggests that the athlete may be rehearsing for a commercial or something.
It’s interesting to note that Yuvraj Singh, a former Indian cricket player, left a chilli emoji comment on the post.
