Do you believe that Max Verstappen will win the championship down to the last minute now that he is clearly in the lead—many grand prix already? – Ioannis
Compared to three or four races ago, there is undoubtedly a far greater probability that the drivers’ championship will come down to the wire.
Furthermore, McLaren is openly acknowledging that they will talk about whether to ask Oscar Piastri to support them, which indicates that they now understand this.
Prior to Monza, McLaren had doubts about two things: first, that their car would be competitive enough at enough tracks; and second, that Red Bull, considering their recent success, would struggle enough.
However, Red Bull’s troubles have been consistent, it has been a while since Max Verstappen won a race, and McLaren’s performance at Monza has altered their perspective.
It’s still a challenging task; in order to defeat Verstappen by the conclusion of the season, Norris must recover an average of over eight points every race. However, it is feasible.
