After England’s commanding 320-8, the hosts were knocked out for just 45, their lowest-ever ODI total.
With assistance from Freya Kemp, who hammered 65 off of 47 balls, opener Beaumont batted steadily for her 10th ODI century, the most by any Englishwoman.
In response, Ireland had a disastrous start to their chase, falling to 8-4 inside the fourth over and unable to rally, giving England their largest ODI victory in terms of runs.
After recording a career-high 6-30 in the opening ODI on Saturday, captain Kate Cross maintained her excellent form, collecting 3-8, but Lauren Filer’s pace proved to be too much for it.
The difference between the two sides was remarkably wide, with only starter Una Raymond-Hoey scoring in double digits with 22 from 37 balls.
Following the five debutants in the opening match on Saturday, off-spinner Georgia Davis made her debut for her country, finishing with a magnificent 2-19, while Kemp also claimed two.
With the win, England also wins the series. On Wednesday, the third ODI will be played at the same location, and three T20 matches will then take place at Clontarf, Dublin.
Beaumont, brutal, creates history
The two most seasoned players for England in the team to play Ireland are Beaumont and Cross. Another group will be heading to the United Arab Emirates for the T20 World Cup next month.
