ISLAMABAD: Pakistan and India will square off on Tuesday at the impartial expert forum about the contentious plans for the 850-MW Ratle and 330-MW Kishenganga hydropower projects in The Hague.
The two-day hearings, which are set for September 10 and 11, will focus on the impact of the Kishanganga Hydroelectricity Project on Pakistan’s downstream water availability and the geopolitical issues surrounding the projects.
According to The News, India and Pakistan have also had disagreements over the Kishanganga Hydroelectric Power Project.
Syed Ali Murtaza, the federal secretary of Pakistan’s Ministry of Water Resources, is leading the group.
