RAWALPINDI: The accountability court on Tuesday postponed until September 12 the hearing on the acquittal pleas submitted by Imran Khan, the founder of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), and his wife, Bushra Bibi, in the £190 million case.
The accountability court judge, Nasir Javed Rana, held a hearing today at the Adiala jail in Rawalpindi, where the former prime minister and first lady were brought before the court.
In the £190 million case, Khan filed a plea on Saturday asking to be exonerated following the Supreme Court’s decision in the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) amendments case, where the court granted intra-court appeals against the previous year’s decision that invalidated the National Accountability Ordinance (NAO) changes.
