According to latest sources, as of September 9, 2024, there were 713,046 unauthorized Afghan residents who have left Pakistan. The process of repatriation proceeds steadily.
August 17–September 9, 2024: 21,193 citizens of Afghanistan went back home. There were 7,843 men, 6,012 women, and 7,338 children in this group.
645 families traveled returned to Afghanistan in 712 vehicles as part of the repatriation mission.
This continuous procedure is a reflection of Pakistan’s attempts to deal with the problem of unauthorized people living inside its borders and to help Afghan citizens return to their country of origin in a planned manner.
The ongoing influx of returns points to a substantial demographic shift that could have an impact on resource management and population dynamics in both Pakistan and Afghanistan.
