Tuesday’s 5.7 magnitude earthquake caused tremors that rocked several areas of Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, and the federal capital.
The earthquake, which began at 12:28 p.m. Pakistan Standard Time (PST) and was measured at magnitude 5.7 on the Richter scale, was confirmed by the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD).
The Met Office further stated that the epicenter of the earthquake was situated at a depth of 10 kilometers, close to the Dera Ghazi Khan district in Punjab’s southwest.
Nonetheless, according to the USGS, the earthquake’s magnitude of 5.4 indicated its impact on Afghanistan, Pakistan, and India.
The earthquake in Punjab shocked the cities of Islamabad, Lahore, Multan, Faisalabad, Mianwali, Bhakkar, Kamalia, Khanewal, Bhalwal, Chiniot, Hafizabad, and Toba Tek for example.
