A public holiday may or may not be proclaimed as the country gets ready to commemorate Quaid-i-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah, the founder of Pakistan, on September 11 (tomorrow).
The government hasn’t declared a public holiday in honor of this occasion as of yet. Although it is possible for the government to designate a public holiday, it doesn’t seem likely this year.
The official 2024 holiday schedule does not designate September 11 as a national holiday. In Karachi, the Quran is traditionally recited on this day, and prayers are held at the Quaid-e-Azam tomb.
Radio Pakistan and Pakistan Television aired special shows on this occasion to commemorate Quaid-i-Azam’s crucial contribution to the nation’s independence.
