Shortly after 12 p.m. on Wednesday, police were called to the Hafod neighborhood of the city.
The individual on Cwm Road was discovered to have serious injuries, according to South Wales Police, who was rushed to the scene.
The victim, who was from Waun Wen in Swansea, has been notified of his next of kin and passed away from his injuries.
According to police, four Swansea men have been taken into prison after being apprehended in relation to the incident.
The road is closed while the death inquiry is still underway.
The public was commended for their “understanding and patience” during the investigation by Detective Superintendent Paul Raikes.
The force issued an appeal for witnesses to the incident and requested anyone who captured dashcam footage on Wednesday between 11.50 am and 12 pm on New Cut Road to contact them.
