The ‘Regulation of Artificial Intelligence Act 2024’ was introduced as a private member bill by a senator from the ruling party, and it was first tabled in the Senate on August 9, according to a report published in The News.
The Senate’s standing committee on information technology was tasked with reviewing the document further on September 9.
