In the inaugural game of the Champions One-Day Cup at Iqbal Stadium in Faisalabad, right-handed batsman Kamran Ghulam scored his seventh List A century to assist the Markhors in putting up a 348-run total against Panthers.
Shadab Khan, the captain of the Panthers, asked Markhors to bat first, and Ghulam batted with a strike rate of above 100 to guarantee Markhors stamped their dominance.
During his 102-ball knock of 115, he hit 12 fours and three sixes.
Early in the innings, Markhors lost Fakhar Zaman (18), and Abdul Samad, who was his partner, was unable to turn his 34 into a significant total.
At three, Ghulam took the bat and worked in tandem with skipper Mohammad Rizwan to recuperate. Rizwan held one end while he was the aggressor.
