Due to a decline in foreign exchange rates, Pakistani gold prices saw a notable decline on Thursday following their historic high on Wednesday.
In the local market, 24-karat gold dropped in price by Rs 1,000 per tola, to Rs 263,000.
As per the All-Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Sarafa Association (APGJSA), there was a decrease in the price of 24-karat gold, weighing 10 grams, with a drop of Rs857 to Rs225,480.
Local price declines are consistent with worldwide patterns. According to the APGJSA, the price of gold dropped $8 during the trading day on the international market, to $2,518 an ounce.
Silver prices, meanwhile, stayed steady at Rs 2,900.
