According to a representative for the Foreign Office on Wednesday, Pakistan’s stance on talks with India is unchanged and that resolving the Jammu and Kashmir issue is essential to maintaining South Asia’s stability.
“As a responsible nation, Pakistan is prepared to offer full support within the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) framework,” the official continued, saying that Pakistan has put out a number of steps to deal with the problem.

The official added that information regarding Pakistan’s attendance at the UN Future Summit and the next UN General Assembly (UNGA) session would be released shortly. The spokesperson reaffirmed, “Pakistan has always supported the right of self-determination for the people of Jammu and Kashmir.”
