Tua Tagovailoa, the quarterback for the Miami Dolphins, suffered a concussion in the third quarter of their awful night, as they were defeated 31-10 by the Buffalo Bills. After suffering an on-field heart collapse in January 2023, Bills safety Damar Hamlin made a tackle that resulted in Tagovailoa’s concussion.
Before the injury, Tua had only passed for 145 yards, one touchdown, and three interceptions while Miami was behind 31-10.
Dolphins backup Skylar Thompson entered the game with Tagovailoa out and was unable to lead the team to a scoring drive. Deep in Buffalo territory, on a crucial fourth down, he was sackable during his opening series.
One of Miami’s rare shining moments came from second-year running back De’Von Achane. Although Achane appeared fully well on the field, his ankle condition was dubious prior to the game. He had 96 rushing yards, 69 receiving yards, and the lone touchdown for the Dolphins at the end of the game.
Since wide receiver Stefon Diggs left the team in the offseason to play for the Houston Texans, quarterback Josh Allen has demonstrated his ability to guide a dynamic attack. Throughout Buffalo’s run of postseason seasons from 2020 to 2023, Diggs was Allen’s main outside target. Gabe Davis, a fellow wideout, also left the squad in the offseason.
However, in the season’s first two games, Allen has discovered dependable targets in Ty Davis and Khalil Shakir.
