Kamran Ghulam’s explosive 102-ball 115 and Naseem Shah’s (3-27) bowling prowess helped the Markhors defeat the Panthers by a comfortable margin of 160 runs on Thursday at the Iqbal Stadium in Faisalabad, kicking off the first Champions One-Day Cup.
INNINGS OF PANTHERS
After chasing an intimidating 347-6, the Panthers were dismissed for 187 in 35 overs. With the exception of all-rounder Amad Butt, who amassed 84 runs off of 74 balls, none of the Panthers’ hitters were able to improvise. However, Butt ended up being the most costly bowler for the Panthers.
After he clobbered three sixes and nine boundaries, Zahid Mahmood had him removed.
Other Panthers hitters who faced some opposition included Usama Mir (21 off 20), Saim Ayub (20), and Mubasir Khan (33 off 31).
