Following the party’s political event in Islamabad on September 8, a court against terrorism in Islamabad on Monday ordered the immediate release of all National Assembly members of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) who had been detained from Parliament House.
After considering the bail requests, ATC Judge Abul Hasnat Zulqarnain granted post-arrest bail to the PTI MNAs who had been arrested by the Islamabad police and had cases filed at the Sangjani police station.
Bail was granted in exchange for refundable surety bonds of Rs. 30,000 per bond.
Attorney Raja Naveed informed the court at the case’s hearing that Muhammad Ahmed Chattha, a member of the Sunni Ittehad Council (SIC), was also a nominee in the matter. He asked the court to reject the imposition of bail as the minimal punishment for the provisions made.
