As part of Labour’s ‘Make Work Pay’ reforms, News has been informed that Ms. Rayner, business secretary Jonathan Reynolds, and Justin Madders, the employment rights minister, would be meeting with leaders of significant business groups, such as the CBI and FSB.
According to sources, it would give ministers a platform to go over specifics of their plans in the face of increasing opposition from the business community.

One insider says that attendees will include representatives from the TUC, Unite, and the shopworkers’ union, USDAW.

Data indicates an increase in the quantity of employees on zero-hour contracts during the past ten years.

The administration has said that workers are put in a precarious situation because of the amount of uncertainty they generate.

“It cannot be right that someone on a zero-hours contract can have their shift cancelled at the last minute on the bus to work,” according to a government source.Ministers are anticipated to state that the government does not want to outright outlaw zero-hour contracts, allowing caregivers and students to continue working under such conditions if they are provided with fixed hours.
