Since the matter is still ongoing before the high court, the Islamabad High Court (IHC) has issued orders prohibiting the trial court from rendering a final decision in the £190 million dispute involving PTI founder Imran Khan and his wife Bushra Bibi.
The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) was notified by the IHC that objections had been eliminated and that a hearing was scheduled on September 26.
Attorneys Aamir Farooq and Mian Gul Hasan Aurangzeb of the IHC heard the acquittal petitions submitted by Bushra Bibi and the PTI founder. The PTI founder’s and Bushra Bibi’s attorneys have been instructed by the IHC to provide any pertinent case documentation.
The trial court has been directed to proceed with the matter, and the court is not permitted to make a definitive ruling.
