The Punjab administration has moved quickly to provide residents with respite after the federal government recently announced a decrease in gas prices.
Transport charges throughout the province have been lowered in accordance with Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif’s directives to match the decline in fuel prices.
For 37 cities in Punjab, a new schedule of discounted private transportation costs has been made available. The fare reductions, which benefit travelers on a variety of routes, vary from Rs 40 to Rs 250.

Thirty vehicles were pulled over for charging more than what passengers were told, and those who did so were fined Rs 358,500. These initiatives are a component of what the government is doing.
