With the arrest of a second important suspect, authorities have made a major development in the murder investigation of Javed Butt, the brother-in-law of Khawaja Tareef, popularly known as Teefi Butt.
Suspect Afzal was captured by members of the Organized Crime Unit (OCU) in the Model Town neighborhood of Lahore, close to Kasur.
The OCU claims that Afzal assisted in performing Javed Butt’s reconnaissance from his home to the murder location. He allegedly left the scene after the murder in order to avoid being apprehended.
The Model Town Unit of the OCU made the arrest, which was a significant development in the continuing investigation. Authorities disclosed that the police are currently actively looking for Arif, another suspect who is thought to have had a major role.
