According to the administration spokeswoman, the arrests were conducted in an effort to reduce begging in the nation’s capital.
Under the direction of the Assistant Commissioner (Rural), the district administration recently detained 23 professional beggars in an effort to address the growing problem of begging in Islamabad. The police stations at Humak, Koral, Sihala, and Lohi Bher all had jurisdiction over the arrests.
Deputy Commissioner (DC) Irfan Nawaz Memon of Islamabad advised the public to dissuade professional beggars on this particular day.
He underlined that these kinds of events frequently have linkages to organized groups and might foster an unfavorable atmosphere.
The administration has taken this action to make sure that vulnerable individuals who might be taken advantage of through begging are protected in addition to clearing public areas.
