Former Bad Boy rapper and current politician in Belize, Shyne, spoke about his relationship with the fallen music mogul following Diddy’s arrest and subsequent accusations for sex trafficking and racketeering conspiracy as the purported ringleader of a criminal business.
During a press conference on Wednesday, Barrow remarked, “When I was eighteen years old, all I wanted to do was make my mother proud, make Belize proud, be recognized for my talent, and take over the world.”
“He turned around and called witnesses to testify against me while I was defending him. I thought he had sent me to prison.
I’m sorry. I carried on. However, let’s not act as though I spent Thanksgiving and Christmas in Miami.”
When Shyne signed with Bad Boy Records in 1998, he was a rising star in the hip-hop industry. He currently holds the position of Leader of the Opposition in the Belize House of Representatives. A year later, Shyne was in Times Square with Diddy and his then-girlfriend Jennifer Lopez at the now-closed Club New York when shots were fired.
