All taxpayers are urged to file their income tax forms by September 30th, as the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has declared that it will not be extending the deadline.
In the event that people or companies miss the deadline, the FBR is prepared to take harsh measures.
As of right present, almost 1.9 million income tax returns have been filed, according to FBR officials. About 466,986 new taxpayers have registered since July 1, 2023, and an additional 205,525 new registrations have been received since July 1, 2024.
Following the FBR’s recent enforcement actions and awareness initiatives, there has been a noticeable increase in taxpayer compliance, as evidenced by the spike in registrations.
Six million tax returns have been filed, according to FBR data, showing a strong trend in tax compliance.
