After shouting about the “children of Gaza” during Sir Keir’s address in Liverpool, 18-year-old Jersey native Daniel Riley was escorted out by security.
“This guy’s obviously got a pass from the 2019 conference,” Sir Keir joked in response to his yells, referring to the final annual gathering under Jeremy Corbyn’s leadership.

The prime minister called for “restraint and de-escalation at the border between Lebanon and Israel” earlier in his speech.
He added: “I appeal again for all sides to step back from the brink. Once more, I demand an instant cease-fire in Gaza, the release of the captives, and a renewed commitment to the two-state solution, which calls for an established Palestinian state coexisting peacefully with a secure Israel.
After the event, Mr. Riley—who joined the party in 2022 after Sir Keir was elected leader—spoke to News about how he had not intended to heckle but felt compelled to do so in response to the prime minister’s comments.
